New Floor Plan:
This home was built in the 1920’s. The bathroom had very little space, stained tile, old/outdated fixtures, and an eye sore radiator. A few before pictures:
Our client wanted to make the most of the natural light streaming in through the bathroom window. They also did not want the toilet to be the focus when entering the bathroom or to be seen from the hallway. Having the vanity under the window created a challenge with the mirror placement as they needed these for everyday use. We were able to accomplish their goals by placing the mirrors on the window frame. This way, the mirrors reflect and amplify the sunlight, creating a brighter, more open feel in the space. This setup not only enhanced the ambiance, but also made the bathroom feel more spacious and inviting.
The cast iron tub was removed and a beautiful new tiled shower was installed with a sliding shower door and updated modern fixtures. A new color scheme was also introduced, combining a crisp white palette with browns and gold for a sleek Mid Century Modern feel.
A wall from an adjacent closet was removed to create a larger space for a custom built in linen closet that “disappears” into the corner.
And the details!
The final result of this bathroom remodel is nothing short of spectacular! We transformed this compact space into a sleek and stylish oasis. The new design maximizes every inch with smart storage solutions and a chic, minimalist aesthetic. The light, neutral color palette combined with strategic lighting makes the room feel open and airy, while the updated fixtures add a touch of luxury. Elegant tiles and a glass shower enclosure complete the look, making this small bathroom feel both functional and beautifully refreshed.
